Mercy Brown Bag Program distributes grocereis to almost 5000 low income seniors throuought Alameda county with the help of our 500 mostly senior volunteers.

On the second and fourth Friday mornings we have a distribution in West Oakland. We unload fresh fruits and vegetables, fresh milk, frozen meats and canned goods from our truck. Seniors are then choose the groceriers they would like. We are looking for 4-5 volunteers to help unload crates and cases of produce, fresh milk, and canned goods from our truck twice a month from our truck, help set up the distribution, and help the seniors select the groceries of their choosing.

Volunteers should be able to stand for 45 minutes to an hour.

The ability to lift 25 pounds or more is helpful, but not necessary.
