No One Left Behind is a young but quickly expanding nonprofit. We are the only veteran run and veteran focused organization serving combat interpreters who were forced to leave their homes in Iraq and Afghanistan after they were forced to leave their homes due to being threatened for working for the US military.
Our local volunteer chapter presidents are an essential part of our operations. The are the POC for all local operations. Ideally, a chapter president is capable of learning the best practices from our long standing chapters, but is also creative and flexible in order to learn and develop local resources. A chapter president should not be afraid to get his or her hands dirty when needed - moving furniture for new arrivals, finding housing, etc. - but also be comfortable working with NOLB national to network, build operations, and delegate tasks to other volunteers.

Mission Statement
No One Left Behind helps Afghan and Iraqi translators gain their U.S. Special Immigration Visas and ensures that they are properly resettled in America. When our Afghan and Iraqi allies resettle in the US, they usually come with nothing more than the clothes on their back and whatever they can fit into one suitcase. We feel that given their profound service to our nation's military while at war, these interpreters deserve better than years of waiting on seldom delivered visas and almost no support in resettling in America.
Description
We help with immigration services to interpreters and translators who are being denied visas due to the bureaucratic red tape. We provide furnished apartments, modest financial support to help cover the weeks it can take before their social service benefits (food, medical, etc.) begin, and employment placement assistance. We also pair up newly arrived refugees with other Iraqis and Afghans who have successfully immigrated to the US -- to help smooth the transition.
