Pacifica Senior Living Portland is a senior care facility for memory care. We have an innovative facility that contains 8 cottage (house-like) settings with 12-15 residents in each one. Each cottage contains its own Living room, Dining room, and full Kitchen as well as a fenced in courtyard.
We offer a wonderful environment with many activites throughout the day and as such, have many opportunities for volunteers to help out. Activities you could be responsible for as a volunteer could be reading poems or short stories to a group of residents, working on puzzles, doing arts and crafts, calling/playing Bingo or other games, helping with religious service on Sundays, Happy hour of Fridays, and many more exciting activities.
In addition to group activities we have need for volunteers to provided one-on-one visits with residents that are no longer wanting to participate in a group. This could include talking with residents, painting the women's nails, hand massages, reading to them, providing our Music & Memory program to them, and many more options.
