Do you have hands-on experience working with animals and love the farm atmosphere? Are you great at interacting with the public? Then consider volunteering with the WNC Nature Center Farm Animals!

There is 1 available Farm Animal shift on Saturdays from 12:00-2:00.

Tasks Include:
- Working directly with the farm animals
- Keeping the area clean by sweeping up stool throughout the day
- Educating the public about goat, sheep, and donkey species
- Ensuring guests adhere to safety guidelines including using hand sanitizer and not climbing into the enclosure with the animals
- Volunteers are subject to adverse environmental conditions.

Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift 30 lbs.
- Vocal Communication is required for expressing or exchanging ideas using the spoken word
- Hearing is required to perceive information at normal spoken word levels
- Visual acuity is required for determining the accuracy and thoroughness of work, and observing general surroundings and activities
