Each year, emerging girl leaders from across the region come together for our leadership conference, Keys to Leadership, to explore and develop their own leadership skills in an inclusive and safe environment that embraces every aspect of their individuality. We would love to have you join us as a volunteer and encourage girls to jumpstart their leadership journey! This year's conference theme, "It's Your Story - Tell It!" will aim to help MIDDLE AND HIGH SCHOOL girls understand the power of their stories and how they can best use current platforms and innovations to effect change and plan for their futures.
As a conference volunteer, you may work directly with girls, or support conference logistics.
Volunteer Roles:

· Unit Leader

Mission Statement
Girl Scouting builds girls of courage, confidence, and character, who make the world a better place. We seek to accomplish this by providing girls opportunities to develop their potential and have fun with their peers in a supportive, all-girl setting.
Description
Founded in 1912, Girl Scouts of the USA is the preeminent organization for girls with a current membership of 3.6 million girls and adults. Volunteers use their expertise, skills, interests, and life experience to shape fun and enriching leadership experiences for girls, and inspire them to reach their personal best. Volunteers help council staff facilitate the New Girl Scout Leadership Experience to girls through exciting program opportunities: leadership/self-esteem, financial literacy, travel, health/wellness, science, technology, engineering, and math. Volunteers choose from several flexible Pathways (the ways that girls and adults join Girl Scouting) that fit their lifestyles, including short-term or long-term service working either directly or indirectly with girls, and they can participate regionally, nationally, and internationally.
