- A group opportunity. Invite your friends.
Take part in this honeysuckle removal event hosted by the Kirkwood Parks Assistance Corps (KPAC). Honeysuckle is a non-native invasive plant that takes over in wooded areas and chokes out any growth of new native plants and small trees.
This event is great for individuals, families, groups and organizations looking to make a valuable contribution to outdoor spaces. Refreshments and some tools are provided. Volunteers are encouraged to bring handsaws, loppers or other favorite honeysuckle removal tools. Park staff will teach you everything you need to know about tool use and how to remove honeysuckle.
Registration is required. For more information or to register, contact Kylie Christanell at 314-984-5993 or email kparkv@kirkwoodmo.org.
