Chaplain volunteers are an important part of Spiritual Care Services at Homestead Hospice and provide spiritual care for patients and their families in private residences, assisted living facilities, personal care homes or nursing homes. Our chaplain volunteers play a very important role in helping patients and their families through difficult times, regardless of individual’s personal faith background or belief system. Chaplain volunteers assist with a variety of needs, including:
Religious support for individuals who are fearful, depressed, or worried
Non-judgmental listening and crisis intervention
Help in finding a sense of hope, meaning, or purpose
Homestead Hospice is seeking chaplain volunteers for weekends to be available in the event a patient or family requests spiritual support or to see patients who request weekend visits. We would love to hear from you if you would like to learn more about our Spiritual Care Services program!
