Are you interested in art, dance, music, literature and other cultures? Do you like helping others discover a love for the arts? Do you want to share your knowledge and experiences with Girl Scouts?
We are looking for adult volunteers to be part of this new Arts and Culture Special Interest troop. We will discover all the Kansas City metro has to offer from dining at Moti Mahal and Cafe Sebastienne, to visiting the Nelson-Atkins, Jazz and Kemper museums. We can do things like choosing a book to read for a lively discussion, and taking in a show at Starlight Theatre. The girls in the troop will drive the experiences and choose what they want to do, with some guidance and suggestions from passionate adults like yourself.
Meetings and outings will be once or twice a month. A background check is required, and a short training on Girl Scout basics will also be required.
This is a brand new troop and has yet to start. We need committed, interested and dedicated adults to ensure the troop can become a reality.
