Family Volunteer Day

ORGANIZATION: L.A. Works

L.A. Regional Food Bank provides food support to numerous community agencies serving Los Angeles, ranging from large homeless shelters that feed hundreds of people a day to small daycare programs. It is the second largest foodbank operating in the United States.

Volunteer Project: Join us on Saturday, November 19 as we celebrate the impact of family volunteering and kick off the holiday season by giving back! Come on down with fellow L.A. Works volunteers to sort, stack and shelve valuable food to distribute to the hungry throughout Los Angeles. Make someone's day or dinner!

Family Volunteer Day, sponsored by The Walt Disney Company, gives families the opportunity to make a mark on their community while creating positive, long-lasting memories, making new friends, developing compassion for others, and even picking up a new skill or two!
