EpicFest, an extraordinary, free literary festival connecting families, children and teens to the library will be held Nov. 5, 2016 at ImaginOn. This public festival connects families, children and teens to the Library, while strengthening and instilling the love of reading. An event of this size requires a lot of extra hands and we’d love to have your help with hands-on activities: family cooking, journal making, early literary stations for young children, origami, robotics, a book giveaway station and more. For the latest information on EpicFest visit - https://foundation.cmlibrary.org/events/epicfest-family-festival
We are looking for individuals to once again help us with crowd control, greeting visitors, dressing up as book characters, helping children at one of the activity stations, stuffing giveaway tote bags, and more.
If you are interested in volunteering at EpicFest:
- Please register at http://cerv.is/m?0080x329 as soon as possible.
- Choose 1 of 3 shifts to work - or more than 1 depending on your schedule. Shifts include Early Bird (7:30am-10am), Morning Shift (9:15am-1:15pm), and Afternoon Shift (12:15pm-4:30pm)
- More information will be sent via email to all EpicFest volunteers. You will most likely learn about your specific assignment the morning of EpicFest and will receive a brief orientation/training at that time. A festival relies on volunteers who are willing to adapt and adjust depending on crowd sizes and unexpected challenges. But no matter where you are assigned, please know that you will be helping instill the love of reading and learning with children and families! All volunteers will receive free parking, a T-shirt, and the chance to meet some amazing children’s and young adult authors.
