Are you looking for a meaningful volunteer opportunity? If so Interim Healthcare Hospice is the perfect place for you. Here at Interim Hospice we make it our mission to ensure our patients and their loved ones are treated like family.
Not familiar with HospiceCare? Hospice care is a type of care and philosophy of care that focuses on the palliation of a chronically ill, terminally ill or seriously ill patient's pain and symptoms, and attending to their emotional and spiritual needs.
How can you help? A number of our patients do require a little extra attention, that is where you come in. We are looking for volunteers to spend quality time with our patients and/or loved ones.
What Volunteers hours consist of? There are endless possibilities on what you can do with our patients when you volunteer. For example: Board games, conversation, read to or with them, rent their favorite movie and watch it together, listen to their favorite music, take your dog to visit, play an instrument, pick up groceries, help a patient with light housekeeping and last but not least listen. It really is up to you how you spend your time with the patient.

Interim Healthcare and Hospice provides an individualized program of physical, emotional, spiritual and practical care for people in the last phases of a life-limiting illness, with an emphasis on control of pain and other symptoms. Interim Healthcare and Hospice team consist of physicians, nurses, social workers, homemakers, hospice aides, volunteers, spirit counselors, bereavement counselors and others. Hospice care is centered on both the patient and family/caregiver.
