The Dallas Opera is helping support NTFB by collecting monetary and food donations at their performance at the Winspear Opera House.

NTFB needs excited and personable volunteers to help raise awareness of hunger in North Texas and to help represent the North Texas Food Bank!

Job Description:

  • A friendly volunteer is needed to help us spread the word about hunger by sitting at our table at the Dallas Opera at the Winspear Opera Center.
  • The volunteer will work alongside an NTFB staff member
  • Help provide information about the North Texas Food Bank to attendees (we'll provide a fact sheet).

Volunteers will receive one free ticket to the performance for themselves and for one guest!

Age: Must be 18 years of age to volunteer.

Founded in 1982, the North Texas Food Bank (NTFB) is a Dallas nonprofit hunger relief organization that distributes donated, purchased and prepared foods through a network of more than 262 Food Assistance Partners in 13 counties. As a member of Feeding America, we support the nutritional needs of children, families and seniors through education, advocacy and strategic partnerships.

We strive to be the best nonprofit. Including access provided through SNAP application services, NTFB provides access to nearly 175,000 nutritious meals every day. ReThink Hunger is our three-year initiative to provide healthier food, develop new ways to extend our reach and improve the lives of those we serve.
