This year we received StepUp Ministry received a grant from Honeywell to Rebuilding Together of the Triangle to do a facelift on our StepUp house (office). The project was supposed to be done on October 8. However, Hurricane Matthew knocked out our power and the volunteers could not finish. Can you, your friends, your scouts, your youth or other group would be interested in volunteering to help complete the project. We are looking for 10 volunteers October 22 from 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at StepUp Ministry- 1701 Oberlin Road. Activities would include: Painting Flooring General maintenance All skill levels needed!

StepUp staff and volunteers assist single adults, couples and families who have educational, employment and housing needs. Program participation includes a phased, incentive-driven curriculum that encourages spirituality, self-awareness and connection as building blocks to success.
Components of StepUP include:
- Program orientation, assessments and readiness training
- Employment preparation and placement
- Life skills classes and workshops
- Scholarships for vocational training to increase earning potential
- Educational programs, mentoring and tutoring for children
- Transitional housing for qualified participants
- Guidance on home ownership for program graduates
