The Japanese Friendship Garden at Kelley Park is creating a new group of volunteer "Cultural Gardeners" who will assist the city gardeners with the daily upkeep and maintenance of the garden.
Interest, experience and/or knowledge about Japanese plants, vegetation and koi ponds, as well as Japanese history and culture, are key interests of this dedicated volunteer.
Anticipated need is 4 hours per week and can be fulfilled at any time during normal business hours. Tools will be provided. Ideally, we would like to form a group that will help to preserve and maintain this important San Jose destination, for residents and visitors alike.
