ORGANIZATION: CHADDS FORD HISTORICAL SOCIETY

We are looking for volunteers interested in assisting with school tours over the fall and winter seasons. Volunteers will mainly be helping to oversee crafts and activities and, if interested, they can help with tours of the historic houses too (we would provide training, don't worry!). You will need to have your security clearance completed for the State of Pennsylvania before you are able to work with children for our school programs. We do reimburse you for obtaining your clearance as well as provide resources on how to start the process!

Our upcoming school tours so far:
October 27th, 9;45 am to 1:00 pm
November 11th , 9:30 am to 2:00 pm November 14th, 9:30 am to 1:15 pm
November 16th, 9:30 am to 1:15 pm Thank you!

The mission of the Chadds Ford Historical Society is to preserve the properties, records and artifacts, to interpret the history and to educate the public concerning the way of life in the Chadds Ford area with emphasis on the eighteenth century. The vision of the Chadds Ford Historical Society is to be the finest community historical society, preserving the history and interpreting the life and times of the Chadds Ford area. The Society aspires to be known for providing excellent educational opportunities to visitors, schools and residents, as well as being an active supporter of and a focal point for community activities.

Description

The Chadds Ford Historical Society (CFHS) is a private, non-profit, community-based, volunteer organization that has restored and maintains three pre-Revolutionary buildings which are open to the public as House Museums.
