We are currently in need of 1-2 volunteers to construct a daily email that is sent to animal rescue groups, featuring an urgent dog and cat of the day.
In addition, urgent medical needs may arise during the day, at various times, for which an animal requies an immediate exit that day. This volunteer should have a flexible schedule who can receive email notifications to be able to send email via a desktop or laptop computer quickly when the shelter notifies us. This position is ideal for someone who works from home or is home during the day in the case of an urgent situation. Networking emails must be sent out each evening, Sunday - Friday.
This volunteer should have good grammatical and writing skills, as you will be promoting urgent animals whose lives are in danger of being lost to euthanasia in the shelter. You also must be familiar with email programs (we currently use Outlook) and feel comfortable navigating the features of email programs. We will provide you with guidelines and details about the animal.
If you would like to assist shelter pets, enjoy working on the computer (and feel comfortable doing so), and can meet the daily time commitment above, then we need you!
We are seeking an adult volunteer who can commit to this need, and whose career and/or personal schedules will not conflict with the daily time requirements. Please reply if you would like to assist us. Include your first & last name, confirm you are over 21 yrs of age and tell us a bit about why you think you would be the perfect fit for this opportunity. We are seeking dedicated, compassionate volunteers.
