The Arabian Sights Film Festival brings the latest, most talked about films from the Arab world right into the heart of Washington, DC. Now in its 21st year, the festival returns October 21 - 30 with a wide new selection of films from North Africa to the Arabian Gulf. We are looking for volunteers who are passionate about film and global cultures to help out with our festival.
Arabian Sights would not be the success that it is without our wonderful volunteers! We welcome returning volunteers and first-time volunteers to join us in making our 21st Annual Arabian Sights the best festival yet. Whether you like film, like meeting new people or just like lending a hand, we are always looking for great people to help build our Filmfest DC/Arabian Sights team! Tasks range from running the festival box office to setting up for our special events. In exchange for working as part of our team for two shifts, Arabian Sights is pleased to offer a thank-you gift to each volunteer of a complimentary t-shirt and one ticket to a regular screening of your choice.
This year we are also looking for a small group of dedicated festival photographers who have DSLR or other cameras that can take high quality photos in low lighting, indoor areas. If this is you, please indicate when responding.

Description
Now in its 34th year, The Washington, DC International Film Festival brings the finest in contemporary world cinema to the nation's capital.
The festival has introduced over 1,000 feature and short films from over 55 countries to an ever-growing audience. Filmfest DC is an 11-day annual festival presenting more than 60 feature premieres, restored classics and special events to the general public. The majority of Filmfest DC presentations are Washington, DC premieres.
The festival is a District-wide event, bringing together the city's film community in a spirit of cooperation and celebration. It is one of the longest running major cultural events in Washington, DC and credited with thought-provoking, insightful and entertaining programming.
