Overall Description of position:

Assists in the development and implementation of academic policies and handling all matters related to curriculum design and execution.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Works with President to create curriculum and all necessary reporting metrics to ensure success in core competencies (Our Curriculum is already written for this year, this is a future responsibility)
  • Works with VP of Volunteers, to identify position requirements and then recruits and interviews accordingly
    • Positions include: Instructors, Tutors, and Writing Councilors
  • Works with President and Executive Committee members to create and execute all necessary polices and clearly defined discipline policies
  • Provides training to instructors, tutors and writing councilors
  • Works with VP of Finance to develop and track annual academic budget and provide a quarterly update
  • Identifies and maintains strategic partnerships with individuals and organizations to promote the Minds Matter mission
  • Understands and anticipates changes in the educational landscape; prepares and adapts accordingly

Position Requirements

  • 0 - 5 hours per week
  • 85% Session Attendance (24 Saturday Session from 9:15am-12:15pm)
  • Developed organizational and communication skills
