Clackamas Service Center is seeking SNAP Application Assisters and Outreach volunteers to join our team. We have recentley begin partenering with DHS to help our clients, 50% homeless individuals and families and 50% low income families, access food stamp benefits. Volunteers will hold "office hours" to assist people with determining their elgibility for food stamps, applying for food stamps, and using food stamps. Training will be provided, both to assist with SNAP and accessing other community resources.

The Clackamas Service Center has been serving the residents of Clackamas County since 1973. Clackamas Service Center is a non-profit charitable organization, dedicated to helping homeless and low-income individuals and families live a healthy lifestyle by providing critical services designed to promote self-sufficiency.

Our services include groceries, clothing, meals and medical/dental care. We also have a wide-ranging list of referrals to other agencies. In 2013 we gave out over 4,600 food boxes, served 30,000 meals and gave out more than 25,000 pounds of clothing, in addition to our other services. We are the largest and most comprehensive agency in the North Clackamas region.
