Help Parents Attend Nutrition Classes at East Boston Neighborhood Health Center

We are looking for someone who has a couple hours a week on Wednesday evening to provide childcare for parents who are attending health and nutrition classes through East Boston Neighborhood Health Center's Let's Get Movin program.

In these classes, parents and caretakers of children in the Let’s Get Movin’ program learn how to make healthier choices when shopping for and preparing meals, how to read and understand nutrition labels, how to encourage healthy eating habits in their children, how to distinguish between healthy and unhealthy beverages, and the importance of providing nutritious snacks and meals at home.

Volunteers will read with and to children, engage children in activities, and just have some fun while their parents are in class! A fun loving personality, desire to help, and interest in volunteering is all that is needed to help out.

A weekly commitment would be great but even every other week is fine!
