Uhuru Foods & Pies is not a business owned by an individual, but a part of an independent African economy, building Black community economic power.

Get involved and gain valuable skills in the kitchen preparing our authentic pie mixes and baking hundreds of delicious pies starting on Saturday, October 29th through December 23rd.

Sign up for a minimum of four hours during the following times:
Sat, Oct 29th - 9am to 6pm
Sun, Oct 30th - 9am to 6pm
Wed, Nov 3rd - 5 to 9pm
Sat, Nov 5th - 9am to 6pm
Wed, Nov 10th - 5 to 9pm
Sat, Nov 12th - 9am to 6pm
Sun, Nov 13th - 9am to 5pm
Thurs, Nov 17th - 5 to 9pm
Fri, Nov 18th - 4:30 to 11pm
Sat, Nov 19th - 9am to 6pm
Sun, Nov 20th - 9am to 6pm
Mon, Nov 21st - 7am to midnight
Tues, Nov 22nd - 7am to midnight
Wed, Nov 23rd - 4pm to 9pm

Sat, Dec 3, 9am-6pm
Sun, Dec 4, 9am-6pm
Saturday, Dec 10, 9am-6pm
Friday, Dec 16, 5pm-11:30pm
Sunday, Dec 17, 9am-6pm
Wednesday, Dec 21, 5pm-10pm
Thursday, Dec 22, 7am-Midnight
Friday, Dec 23, 7am-Midnight

We also have opportunities to help sell the pies on dates in November, the
need for transport of supplies and deliveries and baking and selling dates in
December too!


Students, seniors, community service workers all welcome.
All pie preparation and baking takes place in a commercial kitchen in Emeryville.
