SFAfA is a dynamic, talented group who dedicate their time to raising money to save pets with emergency meidcal needs so they can stay in their forever home. However we do not have experienced grant writers. If you are an experienced grant writer with pasion and talent AND expereince we would love to hear from you so you can help us tap that very necessary financial source so we can aid more animals!

Mission Statement
San Francisco Aid for Animals is a charitable fund dedicated to keeping companion animals and their families together. Grants provided through local veterinarians help pet guardians with financial hardship deal with urgent, treatable conditions to prevent needless suffering, euthanasia or surrender of their animal companions.
Description
The seven
Objectives of the SFAfA are to:
Reduce
the risk for the surrender of pets with treatable problems
Prevent
unnecessary euthanasia of owned pets with a favorable prognosis
Subsidize
the cost of quality veterinary care for clients demonstrating financial need
Keep
companion animals with their caregivers and support the human animal bond
Assist
a population of pet owners that do not receive support from other agencies
Maintain
and promote continuity of care in the client, patient, veterinarian
relationship
Improve
the quality of life for pets and their families
SFAfA will provide grants for veterinarians to distribute to those with financial hardship to achieve the above goals.
