Data Link Specialist
TIHAN (Tucson Interfaith HIV/AIDS Network)
A busy nonprofit office needs skilled Data Link Specialists who can accurately maintain TIHAN’s database of CarePartners (clients) and other individuals related to Care & Support Programs. Data Link Specialists work to a high level of detail, accuracy, and ability to catch and correct their own errors. Types of data include creating new individual records in the database, entering current-year registration forms for CarePartners, guests at Poz Café or Living Well classes, and faith community volunteers at Poz Café. Data Link Specialists also maintain Microsoft Excel files to track CarePartner information, keep accurate notations of discrepancies in CarePartner records so that Link Specialist volunteers can conduct follow-up, and attend a regular group volunteer meeting with staff every 2 to 3 months. Preferred skills and experience include data entry, intermediate level computer and Microsoft Office skills, in particular MS Excel, MS Access, and web-based data entry programs. Using your data entry skills will provide you with the satisfaction of knowing you’re helping TIHAN accurately and efficiently work with our many CarePartners, volunteers, donors and others to continue to deliver high-quality programs and services, and meet compliance requirements. This position can also help volunteers gain experience that will benefit a volunteer seeking full time employment. Hours are flexible, with a minimum commitment of four hours per week, between 8:30 am and 4:30 pm, Monday through Friday. For more information, contact the Volunteer Coordinator at (520) 299-6647 ext 206, or VolunteerCoordinator@tihan.org. Please also put VolunteerCoordinator@tihan.org in your email contact list, so messages from TIHAN don't end up in your junk mail folder.
