Pajaro Valley Loaves and Fishes is distributing Thanksgiving chickens and turkeys to over 400 families this year, and we'll need your help! We provide Thanksgiving poultry to our local pantry clients who have signed up to pick up food to take home before the Thanksgiving holiday. Due to the high number of families who sign up, we need organized, bilingual volunteers who can help us enroll families in the pantry throughout the month before our poultry distribution. This is a great way to provide direct service to help your local community members enjoy a nourishing meal to celebrate this year's Thanksgiving
Volunteers are needed during the following times:
Oct.17-Nov.4th
Monday-Friday
1:00pm-3:30pm

Description
Founded in 1989, Loaves and Fishes is a community-based organization dedicated to alleviating hunger among working low-income families, farmworkers, and elderly, disabled, and homeless individuals of the Pajaro Valley. We help sustain the lives of thousands of individuals by assisting them with nutritious food, education, and referrals in cooperation with other agencies. We envision a Pajaro Valley community in which all people have access to healthy food and the other necessities of life. We are committed to working collaboratively to develop a healthier, more food-secure community through direct service and advocacy.
