Code Platoon, a nonprofit software development bootcamp for veterans, is looking for a volunteer grant writer to help grow our funding base. Learn more about Code Platoon at codeplatoon.org

Three times a year Code Platoon offers a cohort-based internship. The Code Platoon Grant Writing Internship is a 13-week long program designed to teach you grant writing for a nonprofit organization. You will work alongside and learn from professionals in the development field and train with other interns. Individuals will gain hands on experience participating in training modules leading to a capstone project of writing an actual grant application.

The dates indicated are for the Spring 2022 Cohort.

Part time (10 to 15 hours a week), remote.

Code Platoon transforms veterans and military spouses into professional software developers through an immersive, hands-on, educational process and paid internship program.

Description

Code Platoon is a 501(c)3 non-profit that helps veterans and military spouses transition into the civilian workforce by providing technical training and career placement. For 15 weeks the students are immersed in learning the full web development stack, including Python (or Ruby), Django (or Rails), JavaScript, HTML, and CSS. No previous programming skills are required. After completing the program the veteran or military spouse will be hirable as a junior full-stack web developer and eligible for an internship.
