The Mary Kelly Community Center is a non-profit agency that has taken over an old abandoned KCMO School District Building. We have an outer door that will not shut properly due to years of normal use, and punishment from breakins that have occured. This is a standard steel door that you would find on any public school. It has a horizontal push in arm that is standard for these doors and one side has been damaged and is hanging loosely. The door also will not shut properly due to it beng bent and not going flush into the doorway. There is also a steel bar that is horizontal the gives additional strength to deter breakins that is also not going flush because the door isnt sitting in the doorway correctly. If you can do this type of facilities work, or know someone that can, then we would love you to help us out! The security of this building is a big concern for us and we simply dont have a budget (operating in deficit) to make reapirs like this.
We also have a water fountain that is typical of any school building. It will not drain and we are not sure if drano is safe on something like this. Suggestions are welcome or could you take a look at that too?
