The Carying Place located at 491 James Jackson Avenue, Cary NC, is seeking volunteers in many areas, such as support partners, caring sponsors, selection team, children's program, meal coordinator, meal provider, furniture and family moving help, housing maintenance, professional services, aftercare and office help.

Volunteer are key to the success of our mission. The candidate must be able to work with staff to assist the families with their objectives without judging, rescuing or imposing their own solutions or lifestyle. Our goal is to teach the families skills that will lead to independence. Experience is needed in some areas such as housing maintenance, professional services and office help. In other areas, volunteers will be trained for that specific volunteer assignment.

Founded in 1993, The Carying Place is a non-profit that teaches homeless, working families with children life skills for independent living while providing short-term housing and support.

If you wish to volunteer in any of the areas mentioned, please contact Sameena Rashid, Office Manager at srashid@thecaryingplace.org or call at 919-462-1800 if you have questions about the volunteer position.
