This is our second annual Children's Expo and Touch a Truck event!

Our Children’s Expo offers children a safe and fun introduction to Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, Math, and Music. In the 21st century, scientific and technological innovations have become increasingly important as we face the benefits and challenges of both globalization and a knowledge-based economy. To succeed in this new information-based and highly technological society, students need to develop their capabilities in STEAM to levels much beyond what was considered acceptable in the past and events like this one can spark innovative thoughts.

Additionally, this event is coupled with our annual Touch a Truck! This family-centric event offers children a hands-on opportunity to explore working trucks of all types, as well as meet the people who build, protect and serve the Sullivan County community. Trucks on display include construction trucks, emergency vehicles, vintage trucks, and more. Children of all ages are invited to creatively explore the trucks with guidance from the respective professionals who will explain the equipment and discuss the work each performs. The event also includes activities such as face painting, coloring activities, giveaways, and an ice cream truck, of course! Last year, the event welcomed over 500 attendees and we are expecting an even larger turnout this year.
