We’ve been doing great with getting our animals adopted, but our cadre of active Adoption Coordinators has gotten smaller and we would really like to broaden our base so that we don’t lose adopters due to slow response time. Every dog and cat is assigned an adoption coordinator, who becomes the advocate for the animal, works closely with the assigned foster, and screens all applications for the dog/cat. The adoption coordinator also works with adopters during the adoption transition and provides guidance and resources as needed.

DC PAWS Rescue saves stray, neglected, unwanted and abused animals from animal control facilities and places them in safe, supportive and loving foster and adoptive homes in the Washington, DC and surrounding areas.
Description
We are a volunteer only organization and rely on kind hearts and busy hands to keep it all together. We have a close relationship with an adoption partner in Pickens County South Carolina and transport many of our dogs and cats to the DC area to find their forever home.
