What is Shangri-La?
Shangri-La is a non-profit human services organization serving adults with disabilities and disadvantages so they may recognize and achieve their potential. We aim to create communities where all people are accepted for their abilities and celebrated for their achievements.
What does a Postage Pal do?
The Postage Pal acts as a pen pal to an individual with I/D disabilities to provide enriching, engaging and person-centered communication. On a weekly basis, volunteer will: exchange handwritten or typed letters with a person-served and/or explore creative mail opportunities such as sending postcards, coloring pages, pictures, or more.
Ideal volunteer is friendly, out-going, and caring.

Shangri-La is an Oregon-based non-profit that provides services and supports to people with disabilities or disadvantages so they may recognize and achieve their full potential. We aim to create communities where all people are accepted for their abilities and celebrated for their accomplishments.
Shangri-La provides services in Marion, Polk, Yamhill, Linn, Benton, Lincoln and Lane counties. Volunteer opportunities vary by location. Please see individual volunteer opportunities for specific location.
