If you are a veteran or have experience with veterans' issues, consider volunteering your time with the Veteran's Resource Center at the Main Library Downtown Santa Cruz.
"Veterans Connect at the Library" is a statewide program designed to provide area vets with the information and guidance they need. The Santa Cruz Public Library System will launch the local program in mid-December; we're looking for community volunteers who are familiar with military life/veterans issues, patient with good listening skills, dependable, and computer literate.
Volunteers who are selected for this important assignment will be asked to complete a Veterans Connect training module and Library orientation.
