ORGANIZATION: Girl Scouts - Dakota Horizons, Inc.

You + Girl Scouts = Developing tomorrow's leaders.

Every girl deserves the opportunity to be a Girl Scout! Every single day Girl Scouts - Dakota Horizons has girls waiting to start their Girl Scout Journey and we need you to help make that dream a reality in neighborboods and communities accross South Dakota, North Dakota, western Minnesota and Lyon County, Iowa.

Girl Scouts is open to all girls grades K-12th who accept the Girl Scout Promise and Law. Today's Girl Scout volunteers guide girls on their girl-led adventure allowing the girls the opportunity to meet new friends and try new things.

A great troop leader is their guide and mentor. She/he keeps the troop operating with a meeting schedule, communications to troop member families, leads meetings and organizes the troops events. Troop leaders call on troop member families and friends for support along the way with troop bank accounts, providing snacks, transporting girls to events/field trips and leading portions of meetings.

Troop leaders are supported by council with training and regular check-ins with council staff. We're here for you!
