ORGANIZATION: CLEAN WATER CALIFORNIA

  • 4 people are interested
Erin Brockovich
"Adding fluoride to water supplies...results in uncontrollable doses and ubiquitous contamination of drink and food with...an inorganic chemical characterized by chemists as a poison and labeled as a neurotoxin."

We are currently seeking volunteers for several outreach projects. Please contact us if you are interested in reaching out to any of three important demographics in San Francisco who are disproportionately harmed by chemicals in our tap water:

*African Americans and Latino Americans
*Chemically sensitive individuals, including HIV/AIDS, kidney, and thyroid patients
*Restaurants, Cafés, Spas and other water-centric businesses

You don't need to live in SF to join us!

Mission Statement

OUR WATER CAN BE SAFE FOR EVERYONE! At SafeWaterSF.org, you can learn the truth about what’s in our water and what you can do to hep improve our system through education and leadership.

Description

We San Franciscans are proud of our tap water. From pure Sierra snowmelt, this water has to be treated for safety, and we trust the City to do its best.

Unfortunately, our tap water's good reputation deserves a closer look. Various governmental and non-profit organizations are warning us about the hazardous chemicals found in our tap water.

It is now time to address these concerns and bring our water into the 21st century. There already exist proven alternatives for providing safer drinking water.

By working together, we can make San Francisco’s water safe for everyone!
