The 6th Annual Tackle Pet Hunger pet food drive will be held October 28-November 10th! We are looking for individuals to serve as food collection site liaisons for the campaign. The food collection site liaisons serve as the primary contact for our collection sites in Central Ohio.

The responsibilities include dropping off the food collection box and promotional flyers to the site the week of October 22nd, checking in with the site in-person or by phone at the end of the first week (around November 2nd) and then picking up the pet food from the site either Friday, November 9th or the morning of Saturday, November 10th. The site monitor must be able to carry the food in their vehicle and pick up heavy pet food bags. The site monitor will also add up the total poundage for their collection site(s) and bring the food to the drop-off point in Clintonville (Charity Newsies parking lot, 4300 Indianola Ave, Columbus, OH 43214) the morning of Saturday, November 10th.

For more information and a complete list of collection sites, visit www.TacklePetHunger.com.

This is an important role in the Tackle Pet Hunger campaign and we would love to have you involved! Email Steve Kall for more information!

Mission Statement

The mission of Ohio Animal Foundation is to create positive impact for animals in Ohio.

Description

Ohio Animal Foundation is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization based in Columbus. Our mission is to create positive impact for animals in Ohio. We do this through a variety of programs, including our annual Tackle Pet Hunger community pet food drive, education and outreach events, and our small grants funding program, which awards grants to Ohio nonprofit organizations working to improve the lives of animals.

Through these programs we have been able to reach over 99,000 people in Ohio with our message of responsible pet ownership and appreciation for all animals. Over the past nine years Tackle Pet Hunger has provided over 37,000 pounds of cat and dog food to organizations dedicated to keeping pets in their homes and out of the shelter. Through our grant program, we have invested $6,200 in life-changing initiatives in the areas of low cost spay/neuter, feral cat programs, rescue and shelter services and wildlife protection.
