We have 40 events From Friday, November 4 until Sunday, November 13 with lots of volunteer opportunities. Mostly we need greeters to check guests in at events at local restaurants and businesses. Average volunteer time is 1 1/2 hours.
We also have opportunities for helping at the Farmers Market cooking demos in Williamsburg (11/5) and Yorktown (11/12) and at the Freight Shed Oyster Roast in Yorktown (11/13).
Proceeds from the events benefit Meals on WHeels, the VA Fresh Food Dund, FISH and the Southern Foodways Alliance.

Williamsburg Harvest Celebration is a collaborative effort with the City of Williamsburg, James City County and York County overseen by the Greater Williamsburg Chamber & Tourism Alliance, to invite people to connect, to the places where they gather, to themselves, and to others through sincere interactions, authentic roots in history, and exposure to new ideas. During a ten day event in the Greater Williamsburg area November 4-13, 2016. You will have the opportunity to EAT+DRINK+LEARN while attending any of the 40 culinary inspired events highlighting all things Virginia - Chefs, Farmers, Artisans, Foragers, Authors, Brewers, Winemakers and Culinary Historians. Through food we all come together to create our community. Proceeds will benefit Meals on Wheels, Southern Foodways Alliance, FISH and the VA Fresh Food Fund.
Description
Representing nearly 800 small, medium and large businesses, non-profit organizations, and educational institutions, the Greater Williamsburg Chamber and Tourism Alliance aims to advance the best interests of the business community. The Alliance advocates on behalf of the business community, provides educational seminars and creates business networking opportunities so new businesses can emerge and existing businesses can grow. As the destination marketing organization (DMO) we promote the region as a premier year-round travel destination.
