Make a difference while having fun and exploring the Sandy River Delta. Help plant trees to benefit the local habitat of the Sandy River right before it meets the Columbia.
All ages welcome. Fun for groups, families and individuals. Pre-registration is required and space is limited.
We provide: Tools, gloves, hot cocoa, coffee and snacks.
What to expect: Estuary Partnership staff will distribute tools and gloves and demonstrate planting techniques. To reach the planting site, the group will walk together on a flat trail for 15 minutes. Volunteers will be planting for approximately 2 1/2 hours.

To improve the lower Columbia River by protecting and restoring nature and clean water for current and future generations of fish, wildlife and people.
Description
The Lower Columbia Estuary Partnership is a non-profit, a National Estuary Program, and a collection of dedicated scientists, educators, and community members who are passionate about the Columbia River.
We focus on the lower 146 miles of the Columbia River, from Bonneville Dam to the Pacific Ocean, including the tidally influenced portions of tributaries in that area. The watershed includes 28 cities, nine counties, and 45 school districts within the states of Oregon and Washington.
