During these uncertain times, how can we help?
See below to access our COVID-19 Resource Hub, and to explore our growing directory of COVID-19-specific and virtual volunteering opportunities.
The Need
Some older or disabled people have difficulty budgeting, paying routine bills and keeping track of financial matters. Our Money Management volunteers provide assistance with their monthly bill paying and related paperwork. Volunteer bill payers establish a list of monthly income and expenses; sort (financial) mail; organize bills for payment; balance checkbook and reconcile to bank statement; write checks from a designated account for consumer to sign; and perform other related tasks as agreed by consumer, volunteer, and program coordinator.
The Commitment
We will train, supervise, and provide ongoing support to our Money Management volunteers. Training can be done in two hours. You will be assigned one consumer (or in a few cases, spouses) living near you. Mondey Management Volunteers visit with them for 6-8 hours per month, depending on their needs. A minimum one-year commitment to the program is requested.

Our mission is to help seniors and people with disabilities live in the setting of their choice by engaging community resources and supporting their caregivers.
Minuteman Senior Services helps seniors and disabled adults age with independence and dignity in the setting of their choice, most often their own homes and communities. Celebrating our 40th year in 2014, we support caregivers, local and long distance, who want to do the right thing for their loved ones and need help and advice as they balance the competing demands of family, work and self.
We offer over 20 programs and services and are continually improving and expanding to serve our consumers and their families in new and better ways. With over 100 employees, 500+ volunteers and over 70 subcontracted service providers that make up our vendor network we bring needed expertise, experience and resources to elders, the adult disabled and their families.
Our service area includes Acton, Arlington, Bedford, Boxborough, Burlington, Carlisle, Concord, Harvard, Lexington, Lincoln, Littleton, Maynard, Stow, Wilmington, Winchester and Woburn.
As a non-profit organization we are passionate about our mission to help people face the challenges of aging and caregiving by helping them make informed decisions and gain easy access to the needed help that fits within their means. Many of our services are free of charge, others are available on a sliding fee or private pay basis.
We'll work with your schedule.
