We minister to the homeless of El Paso in many ways, one of which is by providing 3 square meals a day for our residents. In addition to meals served out of the kitchen, we also provide sack lunches to the residents that are employed during the day. Our kitchen is driven by donations, and so we require large amounts of donations on a daily basis in order to meet our kitchen needs. We have recently moved to our new location, and our capacity has expanded; we need your help! We are seeking groups/individuals to run food drives to help us meet our needs. We are looking for the following items: chips, fruit snacks, dried fruit, granola bars, water bottles, sack lunch supplies, eggs, spices, breakfast meat (bacon/sausage), cereal, milk, farina, oatmeal, cheese, flour, sugar, etc. If you are able to help us out, please contact us, and we will work out the details. For more than 60 years, the Rescue Mission of El Paso has served as a member of the local body of Christ in proclaiming the Gospel to the poor and displaced while demonstrating the love of Christ in assisting persons with physical needs of food, clothing, shelter, counseling, education and vocational training.
Description
The Rescue Mission of El Paso aims at making the community a better place. We offer a wide assortment of programs including our emergency shelter for anyone experiencing homelessness, Social Services, Drug and Alcohol Relapse Prevention Program, Disability and Senior Living Facilities.
The Rescue Mission of El Paso needs volunteers to assist those in our community who are in need of our help. The needs of our population are vast and diverse, and we are seeking volunteers to help us meet these needs by using their unique skills and interest in the homeless community of El Paso.
