RESOURCE Community Support Program will be hosting their 2016 Holiday Coat Drive! RESOURCE CSP will collect items from November 1st through November 30th and the distribution event will be held on December 5th from 3pm-6pm at their office located at 393 Dunlap St. North Suite 300 in St. Paul.

Items for collection include: gently used adults and children’s winter coats, hats, gloves, and scarves. Men’s and plus-size coats are very much needed.

The coats drive is a great way to spread hope during the fall and winter seasons.

You can volunteer before the event or at the event:

  • Volunteers will be able to help sort the collected items (possibly 1-2 days prior to the event), set up and take-down the distribution space, and help community members with event sign-in, locating necessary items, and facilitate games!

Mission Statement

Avivo's mission is to increase well-being through recovery and career advancement while working to end homelessness. We envision communities free of health and economic disparities.

Description

Avivo serves nearly 15,000 Minnesotans each year, helping them achieve recovery, stable housing, employment and economic advancement. Founded in 1960, Avivo provides chemical and mental health services, housing support services, career education and employment services. We specialize in helping individuals and families who face personal or systemic barriers - poverty, homelessness, joblessness, chemical addiction or mental health concerns.

Avivo is unique because we pair our services to help individuals achieve lasting success. Our chemical and mental health services include chemical and mental health assessments, substance use disorder treatment (outpatient and residential) for individuals and families, mental health therapy, targeted case management and care coordination. Our ending homelessness services include street outreach for individuals living unsheltered, indoor tiny houses shelter (Avivo Village), hotel-to-home initiatives, transitional recovery housing and housing targeted case management. We operate Avivo Institute of Career & Technical Education which provides short-term training to earn industry credentials that launch individuals on career pathways and living wage jobs. Our full range of employment services customizes support for unemployed and under-employed individuals who are struggling to find work, transition or start their careers.
