Starting January 17th, 2023- Volunteers are needed to assist with classes as leaders, side-walkers, EFL volunteers and people to assist the staff with barn chores. No experience necessary, training will be onsite and ongoing. Side-walkers are responsible for working with individuals directly during the class, by walking beside them while on horseback. Horse leaders have previous horse experience and are trained to work with our team of horses. Volunteers must be 14 years and older. Background checks will be required for anyone 18 and over, due to working with persons with disabilities. Volunteers needed Tuesday thru Fridays 9 am to11 and 1 to 3 pm and Saturdays 8:30 am to 3 pm. By partnering humans and horses in a healing environment, Inspire Equine Assisted Center supports individuals in conquering their physical, developmental and emotional challenges in order to achieve their full potential.


Inspire Equine Assisted Center is a PATH International Member Center specializing in adaptive riding, driving and horsemanship for individuals with disabilities and disabled veterans. The main focus group for the program are individuals with disabilities of middle school age and older. Inspire also has an agricultural training program for adults with disabilities where they learn equine husbandry skills, along with gardening and other farm related activities.

  • Our participants look forward to our volunteers on a weekly basis. It is required that to be able to volunteer, that it is necessary to commit to a specific day of the week and time. Volunteers need to be able to volunteer weekly.
  • Must be able to walk and jog for 30 minutes in sand. Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs. All applicants must attend a Volunteer Orientation. RSVP by replying to the email you receive from our coordinator.
