Being present with residents during end stage of life. Residents who desire not to die alone will request Gift of Presence volunteer. Duties will vary and be specific to the resident requesting service and may include, responding to small requests of Resident and or family/friends as volunteer is equipped or feels comfortable. Examples would be reading to resident a favorite story or passage from the Bible, playing music that they enjoy, sitting quietly, holding or touching residents hand to assure someone is near. Professional nursing home facility staff on site and available 24/7.
