Via Colori Art
Artists in action at Via Colori.

Imagine the streets of downtown Houston covered in bursts of color as more than 200 artists transform the pavement into an outdoor art gallery. Houston Via Colori(r) attracts more than 30,000 attendees each year to witness the creative performance of live street painting while supporting The Center for Hearing and Speech, the only full-service resource in Houston to teach deaf children to listen and speak without the use of sign language. Via Colori provides festival-goers with a grassroots art experience where they can talk to the artists, enjoy local bands and indulge in an assortment of food and drinks. This two-day festival spotlights the diverse talents of the best street painting professionals in the greater Houston area and the world. Volunteers at Via Colori are an essential part of the festival - it takes more than 600 volunteers to make this event successful. As a volunteer, you will receive a t-shirt and refreshments, free admission to the festival after your shift, along with the knowledge that you are contributing to a great cause.
