Our mission is to help homeless people rebuild their lives, by providing them with physical and emotional support, to move out of homelessness, unemployment or underemployment. We empower individuals to rise above their circumstances and equip them to achieve a higher purpose Who We Serve Women and children (primarily); men for specific services • Homeless defined broadly as lacking a permanent, safe, secure place to live • In crisis, veteran, re-entering society, domestic violence victims, physical and/or emotional abuse by people and/or systems, and • Low-income, unemployed or underemployed
Description
Our Vision Housing those most in need arming them with the skills to achieve physical, emotional, and psychological stability
HDG accomplishes its mission in five ways:
- Emergency shelter, transitional housing, and emergency financial assistance to obtain and retain stable housing
- Job readiness coaching and skills training to obtain employment
- Life skills training to address barriers and empower clients
- Supportive services and assistance to retain employment: childcare, transportation, clothing, food, scholarships, tutoring, and referrals
Outreach events to support and build-up homeless community
