Join Pitch in for Parks, our drop-in volunteer program, and the Pierce County Bee Keepers in reclaiming Parkland Prairie in Tacoma. Help us to restore the native prairie and prepare it for a new life in the spring. We'll be planting wildflowers, trees, and bushes for pollinators, spreading bark and mulch, and using weed wrenches to pull invasive Scotch broom plants. Also, come learn about pollinators, prairies, native plants and site improvements at the Open House.
Bring your enthusiasm and willingness to get dirty to this great, rain or shine community service opportunity open to all ages and abilities.
