Evolving Arts of America is looking for someone with experience and background in Film , That's willing to help serve our youth through the Arts in a safe-caring and welcoming environment.

Evolving Arts of America founded in 2014 with a vision and goal to empower young people to break habits that lead to trouble in school and in the streets and giving them the opportunities available each of our programs consists of teaching academic understanding of the arts before engaging in hands on experience. We challenge the creativity of students in the arts through five mentoring programs Art, Music, Fashion, Dance and Film. Students also work with a mentor to broaden their minds, enjoy different activities and develop a positive attitude towards their future in the arts

The Film and Production Program targets scholars with the passion for learning cinematography and may include filming with live cameras, editing, and assisting with film projects.

Scholars will be able to gain knowledge in the film industry by studying the history of film, while experiencing writing scripts, filming, and editing scenes. Scholars will meet writers, directors, and actors as they learn

Teaching Artist Job Description:

-Create a safe, welcoming, and engaging environment for children in an age-specific group (between 11 and 17 years old).
-Plan and lead 6 Week distinct film-based Class over the course of the season.
-Follow the curriculum provided
-Support group on Class-wide field trips around the city.
-Work collaboratively with other teachers.
-Communicate with administrators.
-Contribute to Theme Day decoration, End of Summer Exhibit activities, and other large-scale activities.
Create arts-integrated projects and lessons with a collaborating classroom teacher that will teach students arts specific sills while supporting academic content through the arts. Co-teach 90-minute arts integrated lessons with collaborating classroom teachers. Participate in weekly 45 minute planning sessions with collaborating classroom teachers. Document lesson planning and student progress. Support classroom and school-wide norms. Maintain a safe learning environment by partnering with teacher to manage classroom. Participate in the Evolving Arts of America community by: Attending monthly professional development sessions. Attending monthly meetings at partnership schools. Communicating regularly with Site-Based Coordinator and Program Director -
