HappyCity is holding our W+ell Beyond Summit and we are looking for fun an doutgoing volunteers to help us create an uplifiting environment!
We have several 2-4 hour volunteer positions available. Once we connect, you will be asked to fill out an interest form so we can place you in the appropriate role for the day.
This is a great opportunity to get involved with HappyCity at our most higy anticipated event of the year.
*Breakfast/lunch/afterparty/registration to the Summit included!
HappyCity’s W+ell Beyond Summit: Exploration of the Science of Happiness is a gathering of thinkers, doers and innovators who are interested in embodying the principles of happiness in their lives, workplaces, and their communities.Join us on March 20th 2017 themed 'Expanding Our Consciousness and Awareness’ at our first Annual W+ell Beyond Summit! This all day Event will focus on the science of happiness through impactful speakers, hands on activities and interactive workshops that will encourage you to Live, Work and Play Happy.
Come prepared to be inspired, move your body, network, and have fun!
About the Summit
Learn the art of making great and lasting change through small steps, from Behavioral Scientist and corporate trainer Dr. Robert Maurer. Discover how to create and sustain [HAPPY] Place to Work from innovative business leaders in the field of employee engagement. Movement expert Paul McCarthy will guide us through the connection between play, movement and happiness. Engage in conversation on developing happy and sustainable communities with Julie Rusk, Director of the Santa Monica Wellbeing Project. And start or improve a mindfulness practice for yourself or your work team with tips and guidance from Brother Satyananda, a monk of the Self Realization Fellowship, who will speak on the ancient philosophy of Yoga and the time-honored science of meditation.More opportunities with HappyCity

Description
HappyCity is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit community organization and ommitted to helping cities across the U.S. reach their goal of Vision 80 -- a strategy to measure and improve our state of well-being. We take a multi-dimensional approach to evaluate these subjective measures objectively using 10 categories across 38 indicators to benchmark our progress to benefit the environment, the local economy, and advancing social equity. Focusing initially on leading-edge cities demonstrating commitment and potential, HappyCity brings together leaders in sectors from government, civil society organizations, media, business, economists, academics, and spiritual leaders to develop winning strategies to support policies and practices that can make Vision 80 become a reality.
