We are a creative and fun-loving group of friends working to make some great art, save a farmhouse, and have a great time doing it.
We are working closely with the county, and our renovation plans are very far along. While that progresses, we are pushing on a parallel track to establish our programming and events in temporary studio space. Learn more about us at jesterartspace.org.
We are in greatest need of new members with expertise in any of the following areas:
- Communications, public relations
- Fundraising
- Artistic accomplishment from any discipline
- Arts instruction or curatorship
- Legal
- Financial
- Construction, building trades
- Architecture, historic preservation
Specific duties:
- Attend monthly board meetings
- Participate in strategic planning
- Assist with social gatherings
- Assist with creative workshops
- We have a strong need for a board member who can take the lead in developing and executing our communications plan via social media, email newsletter, and other channels as needed

We are friends working to provide an artistic venue, support and camaraderie for creative people, as we preserve the rural heritage of our home at Jester Farm.
Description
Jester Artspace is a 501(c)(3) non-profit working to restore the historic Jester Farmhouse, in Jester Park on Grubb Road in Wilmington DE, for local artists of all disciplines and skill levels to use as meeting, working and gallery space. The county-owned property is one of the few remaining modest pre-Civil War farmsteads that were once common in Northern Delaware. We are working closely with the county and our restoration plans are nearly complete. In the coming year, we will be undergoing intense strategic planning to transition from restoration, to opening our doors. Learn more about us at jesterartspace.org.
