The Alternatives to Violence Project (AVP) is looking for passionate volunteers to train to lead our Peaceful Relations workshops held in schools, communities and in the prisons. We will train you in three 2-day workshops held over the weekends in Palmdale and give you the tools you will need to be part of a facilitating team. Workshops are 18-22 hours long.

Basic April 8-9.

Advanced May 6-7

Training for Facilitators (Basic and/or Advanced Required) Jun 10-11

Training wokshops have been reduced to $25 each for Volunteer Match. if you want to become an AVP Facilitator. We do have some scholarships available. AVP is a worldwide program and your training will be welcomed whereever there is AVP.

Founded in and developed from the real life experiences of prisoners and others, and building on a spiritual base, AVP encourages every person's innate power to positively transform themselves and the world. AVP/USA is an association of community based groups and prison based groups offering experiential workshops in personal growth and creative conflict management. The national organization provides support for the work of these local groups

Description

We facilitate 18-20 hour experiential workshops focused on communication and conflict resolution. We help people find their strengths in these areas and to develop new skills. This is a 30-year program presented all over the world in schools, communities and in prisons.
