Dover Art League has been an active part of Dover's art scene since the 1970's. We are currently reorganizing and need new board members and committee members with new, bold ideas to help us make the organization accessible to more community members. No art experience is necessary, although a love of art and community service is very helpful. Until we get a full board and full committees, there will be a lot of hands-on work, planning events, fundraisers, art shows, classes, etc. Once we get more people involved, the work load will be more typical of a normal non-profit board.

The Dover Art League is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing opportunities for local artists of all ages and skill levels to explore, develop, and market their creations. Through events and educational programming, The Dover Art League strives to foster the appreciation of visual art and aspires to raise awareness about the relevance and intrinsic value of the visual arts in our community. We have a passion for creativity!
Description
We believe in enriching the lives of all the people in our community. Through outreach efforts, we cultivate art appreciation by pursuing creative ways to connect with under served and under represented populations. By building relationships and collaborations with local schools, businesses, galleries, government agencies, civic groups, and other art organizations we help strengthen the arts community at large. As an organization, and as individuals, we value providing a fun, supportive, "family like" environment characterized by integrity, honesty, open communication, diversity, and mutual respect in which our artists may produce and present their best creative efforts.
