Thank you for your inquiry regarding being a volunteer contributing writer to the j31.org, carefully review the following requirements for writers.
First, please provide for us a short, two to four sentence, bio of yourself. Make it personal; please include your faith in Christ, occupation, location, degrees (if any), books or publications, family, married, and things you enjoy or hobbies, plus links to your blog/site.
The requirements for articles are as such: unless we specifically suggest a topic, which may occur when we will have a themed month, such as Easter, Advent season, or an awareness month, etc., we would like articles to have these three requirements: (1) Biblically sound, (2) Christ-centered, and (3) edifying; however, with that stated, the articles should be quite unique, personal, and as applicational as you like. Always cite your work (if quoting someone else) and Scripture.
We're seeking to encourage, engage, and empower people in (1) Men’s daily living (their journey in Christ), (2) worship and devotional life (our worship is how we live, pray, & interact with others, whether musically or not); (3) Church Planting & Missions, (4) Human Trafficking (unfolding the travesty of global and domestic slavery. Articles should be relevant to your topic with distinct paragraph sections (around 5-7 sentences), and a header (in bold) above each section and above the entire article. Your name should be connected to the article as well. If you want your name to be linked to a social media account (Twitter, Facebook, Google+, etc), paste a link for us to post.
The article length should not exceed 1000 words, be precise, and maintain the point of the topic throughout. Articles will be submitted via email in word .doc(x) format. The contributing writer may submit an article at most, once per week, and to remain a contributor at least, once per month. Submit articles to Jcollier@j31.org or info@j31.org. Posts which are published by J31 may also be posted on private blogs, but with a link to the J31.org website. If you have any questions, please feel free to ask.
